“(Arriving at the CNE), Princess Margaret looked charmingly cool in a lake blue and white organza dress with a shirt waist slim fitting front and a full-sack back.
Her hat was of taffeta with a double brim and blue petals. She wore two strands of pearls at her neck. When she pressed the button at the CNE which simultaneously operated the Princess Margaret Fountain and began a series of ear startling rocket explosions, she didn’t flinch.” The Globe and Mail, August 1, 1958
